28 Sep When Is A Buyer’s Market Coming?
Housing market conditions are always fluctuating. One year, there will be more homes for sale than there are potential buyers. And the next, there will be more buyers than available houses. If you’re thinking about entering the market, it is good to know where things stand and what’s likely to happen in the upcoming months. You will want to do your research, That’s because it will determine what price you pay and for what.
These days, buyer demand is outpacing inventory and because sellers may have multiple offers to choose from, they can expect to get a larger price for their home. But, since the market is always changing, eventually the tide will turn.
Because of this, a recent analysis asked one-hundred real estate economists and experts for their best guess as to when the market will once again favor buyers. As you might expect, their answers varied. Only a small amount (5 percent) think that we are already in a buyer’s market. Forty-three percent feel that the national housing market will shift decidedly to a buyers market in 2020.
Overall, respondents saw buyers regaining some leverage in the next year and a half, depending on where they are looking and what they are looking to buy.
